WHAT WE BELIEVE...

The Bible

We believe in the divine inspiration of the Bible, the inerrancy of its original manuscripts and its sole authority and complete sufficiency in all matters of faith, life and godliness. (Ps 19:7-11 & Ps 119:9-11; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

God and the Trinity

We believe there is one God, existing in three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 44:8b; Romans 3:30; 1 Corinthians 8:4b; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Timothy 1:17; 1 Peter 1:2)

Jesus

We believe the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ… eternally existent, complete in His humanity, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died an innocent death, physically rose from the dead, ascended to the right hand of God the Father and will return in power and glory. (John 1:1-2; 1 Corinthians 15:3-8; Philippians 2:5-6; Colossians 1:15-20)

The Holy Spirit

We believe in present ministry and baptism of the Holy Spirit… By whose indwelling the believer is empowered for godly living and gifted for effective service. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:9-11, 15 & 15;13; 1 Corinthians 12)

Humanity

Humanity was originally created by God… but was separated from God due to rebellious sin (Gen. 1:24-27; Rom. 3:19-23)

Salvation

We believe God rescues humanity by grace through faith and all who place their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ are united with Him (Rom. 3:21-26; Eph. 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:22, 28)

The Church

We believe all who place their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ are joined into one body, the church; and all believers are responsible to maintain this unity by loving one another (John 1:12; 1 Cor. 12-13; Eph. 1:23)

Covenant Relationship

We believe that scripture commands followers of Christ to observe two primary ceremonies (neither of which are essential for salvation)… Water baptism following conversion, which signifies the believer’s death, burial and resurrection into a new life in the Spirit; and The Lord’s Supper, which reminds the worshiper of the broken body and shed blood of our Lord. (Matt. 28:19-20; Rom. 6:3-4; 1 Cor 11:17-34)

The Second Coming

We believe the resurrection of both the believing and unbelieving: The believing to the resurrection of eternal life with Jesus Christ, and the unbelieving to the resurrection of eternal separation from God. (Matt 25:31-33, 41-46; 1 Cor 15:12-19, 42-54; Phil 3:21; 1 John 3:2-3)

Sanctity of Life

We believe the Bible is clear about the sanctity of life and life begins at conception. The destruction of human life through abortion, infanticide, or euthanasia is unbiblical and contrary to God's will. Life is precious and in God's hands. (Gen. 1:26-28; Ps. 139:13-16; John 1:3; Col. 1:16-17)

Marriage

We believe biblical marriage consists only of a faithful, heterosexual union between one genetic male and one genetic female, and biblical marriage is the only legitimate and acceptable context for a sexual relationship. (Gen. 1:28 & 2:21-25; Pr. 18:22; Eph. 5:25-28; Hebrews 13:4)
