SPIRITUAL H.A.B.I.T.S.
Jesus came to save the world, but He chose to share that mission with those who would follow after Him. The following after a good teacher meant to be a disciple of that teacher; the goal of the disciple was to be just like the teacher. The same is true with our following after Jesus – we want to become like Him in our relationship with God the Father, like Him in how He loved others, and like Him in how He lived empowered by the Holy Spirit despite hard circumstances. As we become obedient followers of Jesus, we are to help others follow Jesus. This was Jesus’ mission to reach the world – everyone reaching someone.
If we are to help others follow Jesus, we must make sure we are living a spiritual life worth modeling. We develop the faith and character to follow Jesus through various spiritual habits that the Holy Spirit uses to empower our following Jesus despite hardships. We must practice these habits and then share them with others as well.
